Border States: Pags' Paper
After reading the last paper I wrote in college, I'm wondering what your reactions are. Did it give you more insight into the plight of the Border States during the war? Did you get more insight into the demands of college? Thoughts? Comments?
Too long. -10 points. I read the first paragraph and then I quit. It looked pretty good though. My insight to the requirements of college is that they are very demanding and I should not attend college- instead get a job as manager of the local supermarket. Who would want to read/ write an essay that long? :(. Plus, I can't imagine reading and grading a bunch of papers like this if I were the professor.
While it is long, I wouldn't say it's "too long" considering the paper it is. I only read a paragraph or two myself, and from what I could tell, the research was done impressively well. What I noticed however was a sort of casual tone or not fully for one idea. And I agree with Sarah. Who would ever want to grade these? It looked like a very good essay. Maybe he just slapped a B on there because he was eating brocolli or something. I don't know, but if thats the work to be expected in college, then by golly I can't wait. By the way I found it quite awesome that your schooling began in Maryland and circled all the way around back again. - Mike E
I read as much as I could on a sunday morning- not long. But the beginning looked good and you sounded like you knew what you were talking about so thats good. Plus, the ending three lines were good =)(I skipped to the bottom onced I read the first paragrph.) Was it suppoed to be thins long, though? Because if it was, then good job; and if it wasn't, then you need to work on shortening your work. I think if I have to do that in college I might throw a tantrum. Just sayin
That is so much writing, I can barely write four pages and you wrote 15. I dont think im taking a history class in college, lol. I finally figured it out, Pags never got a 100 on an essay in college, so he never gives out a 100 on an essay.

Sarah, -10 for too long? It's my semester research project! You don't want to read the Henry Clay paper.
